Linda Ann Koppenhaver

Linda A. Koppenhaver, Gratz, passed away Monday, August 17th at home with her family by her side. She was born August 27, 1950, in Gratz, to the late Clair and Ruth (Stroup) Ney at the family home on Market Street. She was a 1968 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School. Linda was employed over the years in some administrative capacity by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Public School Employees' Retirement System), Harrisburg; Hegins Corporation, Gratz; MI Printing, Millersburg; Mid Penn Bank, Elizabethville. She was a devoted mother and spouse. In support of her daughter, she was there for every piano / dance lesson and middle school / high school band performance. In support of her husband's passion for fairs, she participated in local, state, regional and international fairs conventions, volunteered at Perry and Lycoming County fairs, and was the Superintendent of Arts & Crafts at the Gratz Fair. Linda's personal interests included tole painting, crafting, crocheting, shopping and reading. Her passion for reading led her to serve on the board of The Friends of the Elizabethville Area Library, an organization that sponsors Author on the Road program. She was also involved in social organizations such as the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by both parents; father-in-law, Gilbert Koppenhaver; mother-in-law, Marie (Klinger) Koppenhaver; sister Susan (Ney) Herb and brothers Dennis, Gene and John Ney. She is survived by her husband, Bruce, whom she married on December 20, 1970; daughter, Nicole Wehry (Mike), Shawnee, Kansas; sister, Kathy (Ney) Miller, Hegins; brother-in-law, Gary Koppenhaver (Carol), Enola; sister-in-law, Jane (Koppenhaver) Shade, Gratz; brother-in-law, Thomas Herb, Klingerstown; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Homeland at Home Hospice, The Friends of the Elizabethville Area Library, or Simeon United Lutheran Church. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the Church.
