Tammi Leigh Kissinger

Kissinger Tammi Leigh Kissinger, 52, of Bernville, passed away on July 3, 2014, peacefully at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey PA. She was born in Harrisburg on March 16, 1962, a daughter of Robert and Sandra Werdt of Williamstown PA . Tammi was employed by thePA Department of Welfare. She was the wife of George A Kissinger. Tammi is survived by her loving spouse George Kissinger, two sons, Andrew Kissinger of St Louis, MO, Adam Kissinger of Reading, PA; two sisters, Carolyn Shomper IHM of Philadelphia, PA, Regina Michaels of Williamstown, PA; one brother Robert Werdt of Tower City, PA, a number of nieces and nephews and her "fur babies" Ivy, Holly,Tipper and Tully.She was preceded in death by her parents. She had enjoyed volunteering at her children's schools and at the Reading Literacy Council teaching English. Tammi was a generous soul full of love for her husband, sons, family and friends. She gave selflessly of her gifts, talents and time. never counting the cost. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Tammi had a great laugh and loved simple, good times with the people she treasured. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach and gathering shells. She liked times spent at camp and long walks in the woods. Tammi also enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, gardening, reading and shopping. Tammi was an excellent cook who loved preparing meals and baking treats, especially for her George, Andy and Adam. She loved animals, especially her four English Springer Spaniels her "fur babies". To honor Tammi's memory, hug those you love, make time for family and friends, read to a child, do something kind, reach out to others or adopt a dog. Tammi was a blessing in the lives around her. She is deeply loved and will be forever missed. A visitation will be held on July 12, 2014 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, with Rev. Martine Joseph, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to An animal shelter, World Wild Life Fund or Conservation Group James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow is in charge of the arrangements.
